Hi I'm John Erickson

I'm a former Catholic who converted to the Mormon Church at the age of 18.

About Me

I am a real estate attorney practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm married to my wife of 28 years, and we have five children, one daughter and four sons.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the fine example of Christian living by Latter-Day Saints that I knew in my youth led me to investigate the church. This led me to a careful reading of the Book of Mormon which I read in it's entirety before joining the Church. I pondered the teachings of the Book of Mormon and asked my Heavenly Father in prayer if the book was true. He poured out his Spirit in my heart and I have a firm belief that it is the Word Of God. I have read it every year for the last 35 years of my life. I love reading the Book of Mormon and my mind is filled with light every time I read it. I know it can change lives.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a teacher. I teach a class of 22 students that meets for a 7 am class each school day to study the scriptures. We meet in an LDS chapel adjacent to a local High School. My wife and I are preparing to serve a mission later this year for the Church.
