Hi I'm Skylar

I work for a swimming pool service company in Idaho. I just graduated college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 25 and recently graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Management. I am a manager at a swimming pool service and supply company, and on the weekends I am a Wedding DJ. I spend lots of time working but I enjoy every minute. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I often spend time around water, whether it be around a pool or on the beach. I love being in the sun and swimming. In the colder months you will usually find me on my computer editing photos, or building websites. I am seldom sitting around not doing anything. I enjoy learning new things. I know that there are endless things to learn or do and the few times I do sit down to rest I frequently fall asleep. Life often brings unexpected bumps and complications, but it also brings much joy and happiness. Learning new things and spending time with those I love brings me energy, I live for those moments.

Why I am a Mormon

Sometimes being involved in all the activities, and all the meetings and all the service opportunities the church provides can be a little overwhelming. I feel like I don't have enough time in the day to get all my obligations done at work and with family and still have time to be to every activity, but I know the activities the church provides can be a strength and help me be around those that help me strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ. I know that attending my meetings on Sunday is most important and I don't miss those for anything, I feel stronger and more able to take on the world when I am spiritually fed. I also make time for spiritually uplifting activities that allow me to build my faith and build friendships with those around me that will help me feel more of my savior's love.

How I live my faith

I work a lot as you know, but I always make time for my Savior. Every Sunday I wake up and get ready to go to church. I serve by teaching a class of men once a month about the gospel. I love reading the scriptures and participating in gospel discussions. I recognize that when I spend time building my knowledge and trust in God, I am happier. I try to make an effort each day to become more like Jesus Christ. I don't have a lot of time during the week to serve in church callings and participate in church activities. I work out of town a lot and don't get home till late most days, but I know that when I keep my Savior close I am stronger and more able to take on the challenges of my everyday life.
