Hi I'm Annette

I am 57, a woman. I love my family. I grew up in a divorced, unhappy family. My husband and I have 5 kids and 11 grandkids.

About Me

After growing up in a dysfunctional family I knew I wanted something different. I wanted to have a happy family where we cared about each other. So I have worked hard at that. Sometimes I did a good job and sometimes I failed miserably! But I kept trying. We have Sunday dinners where everyone gathers at our house and with 20 or so kids and grandkids--it is noisy and chaotic, but so fun. I love to garden, read and am a huge sports fan! I am an elected school board member in my community.

Why I am a Mormon

When my father married a woman who was a member of the Church, I took the missionary discussions and then joined the Church. I was a teenager at the time. And now 45 years later, I know it has been the best thing I could ever have done. I have always loved Jesus Christ and the Church has helped me see Him as he is--my Savior! I know He loves me and want only happiness for me and my family. My Church has helped us understand how to live Christ centered lives, how to serve those around me and how I can be happy by living the teachings of the Savior.

How I live my faith

I have been asked to do many things throughout the years. My most recent responsibilities have included being a chorister for children, organizing a service project where we gathered new back to school clothing for 2,500 children in need, and being a missionary. Every time I am asked to do something new, I discover a hidden talent that I didn't know I had! I know I am blessed when I serve especially when I try to do it with love.
