Hi I'm Jacob

I was born and raised in North Carolina, I love the South and being a Southerner. and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of six children and have just become a grandfather for the first time. I work as an IT Manger. I love to be with my family, read, cook and talk about almost anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Christian because as early in my life as I can remember I have known that Jesus Christ is real, that he lives and that he is my personal savior. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the restoration of the gospel through the prophet Joesph Smith. I believe that God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joesph Smith and began the restoration of the Church that Christ organized while he was on the earth. My testimony of these things is based on my personal relationship with Christ, my study of the scriptures and answers to my prayers. My testimony is strengthened daily as I stay close to the Lord.

How I live my faith

I love people and the opportunity to be with them. I am currently serving as the leader of the congregation that I attend, my "Ward". I am sometimes called on to be with and help people when they are having difficulties in their lives. I have often felt the direction of the Spirit in these situation. It is truly amazing to me that the Lord is aware of us individually and that he wants to bless us.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Because of my current responsibility to lead the congregation that I attend I am also responsible to administer the resources that members give to assist the poor through their donations. We recently were able as a congregation to provide food to a local Soup Kitchen when their food reserves were lost in a fire. We are currently getting ready for our annual blood drive in support of the Red Cross. We try to help in any way we can as we see a need. Show more Show less
