Hi I'm Jordan

I love fishing, a good game of ping pong, and playing the piano. I am an Electrical Engineering student, a husband, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old. I am a senior in my undergrad studies. I love sports, the outdoors, my family, Mexican food, and anything that makes me laugh. I am studying to be an Electrical Engineer and am excited to graduate and start a job doing what I love. I have a beautiful wife and sweet little girl on the way. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but I wholeheartedly consider myself a convert to it. There always comes a time when you have to know something for yourself you know, when Mom and Dad's answers aren't good enough anymore. You have to know for yourself, and know that you know. That is what I have done, and now I can say 'I know it is true.' I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me again and again the truth of the restoration of Jesus Christ's true church. Now His life, His teachings, and His sacrifice are a real part of my life instead of some miraculous story. I love Him and Iove His Gospel.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? Well, I recently returned from serving the Lord full-time as a missionary. I served for 2 years and am continuing to strive to consecrate everything which He blesses me with to further His kingdom on the earth. However living my faith is a day to day thing. It is not a thing of the past. If we are truly converted to the Lord, it becomes a lifestyle. That is what I strive for.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Of course not! To even say that would be frankly sacreligious. Our faith is in Christ! It is through Him salvation comes. It is Him we worship. Joseph Smith was simply a prophet, a tool in the hands of God to further His work in a given period in the history of the world. He was a prophet like unto Moses, Noah, or Abraham, but nothing more. Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

There is nothing secret about the Temples. Perhaps a better word would be 'sacred'. We invite all to enter into the Temple who will make the proper preparations. I would love to see every single person have the opportunity to go into the temple and feel the Spirit of the Lord that fills that holy edifice. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way that anyone can know if what we believe is true, is by asking God Himself. You can't learn spiritual truths by comparison or by study alone the Spirit Holy Ghost has to be involved. If you want to know if Mormonism is true, I would suggest reading the Book of Mormon, and sincerly praying to know if it is true. I promise that God will answer your prayer if you have a sincere heart, real intent, and faith in Jesus Christ! Show more Show less
