Hi I'm Jason

I'm a native to Colorado. I served in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jason. It is Greek for "healer". I am a servant of God here on His playground called Earth. I am on a mission trip right now... I am a missionary... I am a missionary for Christ! I have the most amazing and radiant family. We all lean upon each other and have an eternal love for each other. I have a twin brother who is my best friend and teacher! I have an older brother who I love and rely on more than he will ever know. He is married to a beautiful princess and they are raising such strong saints, my little nephews. My mom and dad are two beings of pure love who seek the spiritual before the physical! They are my angels! What joy and peace family brings to one's heart! I am in love... in love with life! in love with my God and my Brother, Jesus Christ! May we all be in love! May we dance our step! Write our story! LIV LAF LUV

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a home of great parents in beautiful Colorado. Unfortunately, at the age of three, my parents got divorced. I grew up going back and forth from my mother’s house to my father’s house frequently. This trial in my life helped me to become more independent. Due to the constant moving and transitioning, I anchored myself to God who was and is my only constant and ever-present. I have loved learning and being a student ever since I was young. Not only did I dive into my studies and succeed in school, but I began to search for truth at an early age in order to find where I belonged. During my years growing up, I found pieces to the puzzle with answers to my questions (starting from the question if there is a God). I studied and practiced many different religions and spiritual practices as I longed for truth and connection with my Heavenly Father. It was not until my sophomore year in high school that I longed for something even more. I began to fill my days with community service. As I lost myself in service, I seemed to find a little bit more of me! But I was still looking to fill something inside of me. It was not until my 18th birthday that I received an answer to my prayer that I needed to be baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I had finally found what I was looking for. With much prayer and meditation and study, I was baptized my senior year in high school. I soon left for college to study to become a teacher. I went to live in Mexico for three months under a study abroad where I learned a lot. After two years of college, it was time for me to pause my education and serve a mission. Here I am today. I am more content than ever before. I have found what I have always been looking for: true peace and joy!

How I live my faith

I have been on my mission in the Nevada Las Vegas West mission for almost two years. I have served in four different areas and have had the blessing of teaching and seeing many lives (individuals and families) transformed through the power of the Atonement of Christ. I have had the blessing of being in leadership positions where I have learned to lead by example and to serve and love those I lead (that is what leadership really is). I love to help motivate and inspire others in order to lift them to higher grounds. I have created great bonds with those I have taught and helped. I plan to be in communication with them for the rest of my life. This mission of serving others and the Lord for two years has been the greatest two years for my life! Before the mission, I was attending college in Colorado. I was a mentor in a teaching program for the new freshmen. I helped them with their transition from high school to college and worked with them to make sure they were focusing on the right things and succeeding. I participated in many community service opportunities as well! I was involved in many of the Latin events and programs due to my focus of TESL and bilingual education. As well, I worked with children in the foster program and who have dysfunctional families which taught me a lot. All of these experiences have allowed me to grow spiritually! And now, I want to teach today's youth in struggling situations as that is my passion! Living by example is the greatest way to spread the Good News! A wise man once said... share the gospel, and if necessary, use words! May the gospel be so real to all that we can't help but live it and shine the light!
