Hi I'm Brad

I'm a family counselor working for the army. I live in Washington State. I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a masters in Marriage & Family Therapy and have been working in the field for about 10 years. I'm single, growing up I expected to have a family of my own at this point in life. I stay very connected with my extended family and greatly value those relationships. I also have great friends and a church community I enjoy spending time with. For fun I like listening to live music and enjoying the outdoors in the beautiful northwest from the ocean beaches to the mountain trails. I also enjoy working with wood; I go to a weekly carving class and I've built a ukulele.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending the Mormon church with my family, my individual faith grew the most after I left home for college. As I read from the Book of Mormon I felt a closeness to God like I never had before. I felt he had a deep love for me and purpose for me here on earth. I also had an increased desire to be good and please God. I continued to read from the scriptures including the Book of Mormon and New Testament in The Bible. These experiences led me to serving a 2 year mission in St. Louis; there I had many more experiences that strengthened my faith and increased my understanding of what Heavenly Father's plan is for his children. As life has gone on my relationship with God and faith in his plan for me have been a secure base to confront the trials of life.

How I live my faith

One of the most important ways I try to live my faith is by doing my best to show love and respect for all I associate with. I want others to feel cared about and supported in their personal trials. I help organize activities for other singles outside of regular Sunday church meetings to share a spiritual message and socialize. One night a week I visit local church members in their homes who are in special need of attention.
