Hi I'm Makenzie

I grew up in southern California. I am a mother of three. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California. I am one of 6 siblings and I love being part of a big family. I am married and live in Utah now. My husband and I have 3 kids. When I'm not chasing my kids around I love to play the piano, sew clothes and home decor items, and run outside with a huge double jogging stroller.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the Church, but I have learned for myself that the Church is true. I have prayed many times to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon is true. The Holy Ghost answers my prayers by giving me a warm, tingling feeling all over my body. I know that when I try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ I am happy and blessed.

How I live my faith

I play the organ every Sunday in my ward. I love watching all the families and individuals that come to church. They all seem like they want to be there and that they can feel the spirit of the Lord when they come to church. I also serve by visiting several women in my area each month. I share a spiritual thought, show my love and offer any help she may need. I know when I am serving others, I am the most happy. In the past I helped out with the young women ages 12-18 in my ward. I was responsible for teaching a Sunday lesson once a month, planning and attending a week night activities and making occasional visits to the girls. I loved serving them, and hoped that they realize the love that their Heavenly Father has for them.
