Hi I'm Ryan

Bears, Beets, Battle-star Galactica, Identify theft is a very serious crime jim. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Utah, and I am the youngest of five kids. I LOVE wrestling, snowboarding, rock climbing, wake boarding, long boarding, lifting and just about anything you can do outside. My favorite music is chill music to an acoustic guitar, I love anything I can shred some snow to. I know for a fact that cold pizza is the breakfast of champions, wolverine is the coolest superhero around! I also played football in high school and have completed a year of college

Why I am a Mormon

Cause my family started me out on the right foot! At first I had to lean on their beliefs, but as I went through my teen years, I had to find out for myself. People often ask me if I'm doing what I do cause my parents want me to. My answer is "no way!" I am a Mormon because I firmly believe that Jesus Christ knows me and would have me no where else! I love Jesus Christ more than anyone, and I'm a Mormon because it's what He wants me to do.

How I live my faith

I show by works what I believe, or at least I try my hardest to. I love going to church each week and feeling pure happiness and relief from the world's busy schedule. I currently have chosen to serve as a full-time missionary for the church and that means 24-7! I meet people every day and ask them if they want to know more about God's plan, and I feel so much peace every time I study it as I read my scriptures.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Ryan
Nope, missionary work is 100% volunteered, there is no negative consequence or chastisement for not serving. The only negative is that you will miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime to make friends and have experiences you could never forget! Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Ryan
Was Christ paid? How about the apostles? The point is that it isn't service out of love if you're looking to fatten your wallet. Charity, or the pure love of Christ, comes from the heart and is rewarded with things more valuable than money. Show more Show less
