Hi I'm Colton

I'm a stud, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I like to play basketball, tennis, ping-pong, eating food, and hanging out with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

The peace and solace that I feel while I attend church, read from the Bible and Book of Mormon, and associating with other members of the church, is why I am a member of this church. As well as the youth programs, and the emphasis on family, is something that I love in this church.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm a missionary for the church in the northern New England area. As a full-time missionary, I find enjoyment from reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon, participating in community service, and sharing our basic beliefs with other people. If anyone has been to this part of the country, they know that the weather can be cold and bitter in the winter, and hot and muggy in the summer. Despite these harsh weather conditions, I've found a lot of growth of character, in myself, from getting out and serving other people.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

To join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Saints, you must be baptized and confirmed a member. Reffering to the New Testament in the Bible, the apostle Peter taught the people that they needed repent, be baptized, and recieve the Holy Ghost. This commandment came from the people asking, after they came to know what Peter taught was true, "Men and brethren, what do we do?" (See Acts 2) According to what Peter said, we must repent before we enter the waters of baptism and be confirmed into the church (recieving the Holy Ghost). To repent means to change our ways of living for the better. That process comes from meeting with the representatives of the church (the missionaries), in order to know what commandments you need to live so that you can prepare yourself to be baptized and have every mistake you have committed forgiven. Don't let the fact that you have to change your ways scare you off. Baptism is a great blessing because it places us on the correct path to inherit all the blessings that God wants to give us after this life. With the actual event of baptism, we follow the example of Jesus Christ by being fully imersed under the water and the person baptizing you having divine authority from God. Show more Show less
