Hi I'm Dino

I love the out doors. I love sports. I'm a convert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm your average 21 year old. I love the outdoors. But there is nothing that compares to jumping on a Motorcycle either on street or dirt and feeling the wind breeze by! I'm a former wrestler for my high school and I also did JROTC for 4 years. I was homeless. I love to get on a skateboard every now and then. I was Baptized in Aug of 2008. I served a mission in New England to help others find Christ and the restored Gospel. I am an MMA fighter and I love the sport. I love training for it and practicing but the true excitement comes when you enter into that cage with your opponent and the bell rings for the first time.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were divorced when I was only eleven years old. My Mom then moved out and began dating this guy became addicted to Crystal Meth. Since the divorce, my little brothers and I moved back and forth from our parents house which just added to stress. I finally decided to remain living with my Mom. I felt that I needed to protect my Mom. My brothers went and lived with our Dad. My mom and I went from living in a one bedroom trailer to going to friends homes. Eventually it led to living in a make shift tent made from tarps and blankets in a empty desert. At about this time I was 15 years old and I was making poor choices. I started hanging out with not so good people. I myself was caught up in the "drug life". I started smoking and selling Marijuana. That was not the life I wanted to have. So I moved to my Dads. My Dad came and picked me up at a gas station. I started going to High School where I met two important people. These two friends were Stephanie and Melissa. They were a huge influence on me. They were different from all the other girls at school. They were modest, polite, kind, and always willing to help others. The parties they had were always clean and respectful. When I found out they were Mormon and I began reading the 'Book of Mormon Stories'. However these two examples in my life were older then me and when they graduated I lost interest in the Church. In November of 2007 social services came to our home at around midnight. They searched us for abuse and the house. I was only 17. I had to tell my brothers that everything was going to be ok even though I myself did not know. We ended up moving to our Aunt and Uncle's house. They are members of the Church. They shared the Gospel with us in a very loving and caring way. They shared there testimonies with us often and helped me to understand. This was the boost I needed to become the person I wanted to be. 10 months later I was baptized for the remission of sins. I was able to literally start over.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a Mission for our Lord Jesus Christ. I am serving in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission where they keep us nice and cold. ha ha. I love to preach the Gospel and helping others come unto Christ, because Christ is looking for His lost sheep!!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Dino
Mormon missionaries , like myself, proselyte because we know how important the Gospel is. The Gospel of Jesus Christ changed my life for the good and has helped me through the toughest of times. I, like all missionaries, want the world to be comforted and know that each person has a Father in Heaven who loves them. It is up to us to help Christ's lost sheep. Show more Show less
