Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon and couldn't be happier!

About Me

I believe in chasing my dreams. I have worked at Disneyland, gone sky diving, para-gliding, and taught English in Taiwan. I am currently working towards my teaching license for elementary education and hope to someday return to Taiwan to teach in an international school there. Ancient history fascinates me, especially when I take into context the scriptures. I love my family, learning, playing the piano, singing, animals (especially my cat!), reading, photography, writing, sewing, and sculpting. While my life has gone nothing like I imagined or planned, I know that God guides and directs my path. In the meantime, I try to make life as interesting as I can by traveling, meeting new people, and developing my talents!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and was raised by two wonderful, very faithful parents. My faith has been a constant anchor in my life. I have no doubt in my mind that God lives and that He loves his children. Even when life has not gone as I had planned, Heavenly Father has always been there to help me keep going. I cannot see how my life would serve any purpose if it were not for the Gospel.Without the Gospel, I would be at a complete loss. I have had my share of trials (as everyone has!), but my faith has seen me through each and every one. I am glad to live it, and I am glad to share it.

How I live my faith

I try to be kind and share with other the light of Christ in my every-day living. I have had the opportunity to teach Gospel Principles in Sunday School to my peers ffor the past three years (I am currently in my fourth year teaching) where we share and discuss our thoughts, ideas, and testimonies pertaining to the things of God's Kingdom. I have also served in my singles ward Relief Society presidency for several years. Teaching others about the gospel is one of my favorite things. While I have not served a formal mission, I do my best to be a member missionary in my daily life.
