Hi I'm Jeremy

I have 3 daughters, 2 dogs, and 1 wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have 3 daughters and 2 dogs. I don't really care for dogs in the house, but I love my wife and she loves dogs. I am actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America. I am in healthcare administration in the mid-west.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, my parents were Lutheran. After several visits from LDS missionaries in different states, my parents decided to take what the missionaries were teaching them and apply it to their lives. After a short time, my parents were baptized and, at 2 years old, I began living the Mormon life. It wasn't until I was preparing to serve a mission that I decided that I needed to stop believing and start knowing. I needed to know whether the Book of Mormon truly was the word of God or just the product of a clever mind. I began studying the Book of Mormon for a half an hour every day. At first, the time passed slowly, but as I got more into it, the 30 minutes flew by. Day after day I would read and then, at night, I would pray to Heavenly Father asking Him to know whether the Book of Mormon was true. After several weeks of reading and praying, the answer came to me. I remember looking in the mirror and having this overwhelming feeling of peace and happiness enter my whole soul. The feeling I felt was unlike any other that I had had before and I knew that this feeling came from my Heavenly Father, in answer to my prayer. I am a Mormon not because I am better or smarter than anyone else is, but because, like my parents before, I decided to stop just listening to the message and decided to start applying it to my life. First came faith and then the answer. This pattern has been repeated many times in my life and I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God and that He restored His priesthood and church in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I have faith. I read the scriptures. I say my prayers. I get up each time I fall.
