Hi I'm James

I am a Mormon and I joined the church about 30 years ago when I was in college. I have been blessed by the things I have learned.

About Me

I am a convert to the church. I have been a member for almost 30 years. I was protestant before joining the church. I have a degree in chemistry and work in the pharmaceutical industry. I grew up in North Carolina, but have been living in Wisconsin for several years. My hobbies include, ham radio, gardening, hiking, camping and biking. I have two children one in college and the other is a senior in high school. I enjoy people and enjoy the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I knew from an early age that it was true and was taught by the missionaries. I had many questions as I grew up and the Mormon faith fit what I was searching for and has blessed my life. I learned that the path is stepwise and not always linear or smooth, but you have to remind yourself of where do you want to go and are you on the path or at least in the direction to get to that place, which is to return to my Heavenly Home with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I go to church on Sunday. We have weekly Family Home Evening. My son will soon go on a mission once he completes this year of high school. I have had several tough life experiences that have helped me strengthen my faith if God and the Gospel teachings. This includes death of very close love ones and working through depression/anxiety and PTSD with a child. I could not get through my experiences and weekly challenges with out reflecting and practicing my faith.
