Hi I'm Ron

I have 7 children. I work as an Electrical Engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my seven children and my lovely granddaughter. I enjoy gardening and caring for my home as well as bicycling, camping and working on my car.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that there is more to life than just what we see around us every day. There is hope that through Jesus Christ there is happiness that transcends this life and its problems. I have seen how my life and the lives of others has changed when they make the true gospel of Jesus Christ the center of their lives. I know that God speaks today just like in ancient times to prophets. They give us direction and guidance just like Moses and Abraham did in their times. I have felt the peace of the Holy Ghost fill my heart as I have heard and obeyed inspired counsel from God's chosen leaders.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Bishop in the Church. A Bishop is the leader of a local congregation called a Ward. Our ward has approximately 500 members of the Church in it. We meet each Sunday for 3 hours to take the sacred sacrament and to teach one another the doctrines and truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I also meet with the youth one night a week for their activities. My biggest challenge is to stay connected enough with the youth that they will trust me and be willing to talk with me when they have problems in their lives. I have seen how youth are constantly bombarded by the evils of society and how many of them really want to do what is right even when it seems very difficult. My role as a Bishop is to be there and provide guidance, counsel and encouragement so that they will have the courage to make the right decisions.
