Hi I'm Nicole

I love literature, the great outdoors, I'll throw baking in, and most of all MY FAMILY!

About Me

Well, I grew up in a small town in Utah, but I have always enjoyed travelling with my family. My family is actually my favorite thing in the whole world! I went to school in Southern Utah and have my degree in History. I love to read and study about different people and cultures. I also love literature, and find it pretty great that I can get lost in the tale of another world... another time... I can be anything I want in the pages of a book. The great outdoors is another one of my favorite things. I love going camping, hiking/exploring, fishing, basically anything outside. Oh, it must envolve my loved ones or it is no fun. So, I guess to sum myself up I love to do anything that envolves spending time with those I love most.

Why I am a Mormon

As I think about why I am a Mormon a lot of things come to mind. Most importantly is my love for Jesus Christ. I know that when I was growing up I really struggled with what to believe. I could not decide what the truth really was, and I was not sure where to find what I was seeking. I started reading the Bible searching to know my Savior better. After I finished the Bible I knew that Jesus Christ loved me, and I KNEW that I loved Him too! Yet, I felt that there must be more... I was not sure however what more there was. One day I decided that if I wanted to know truth I needed to read the Book of Mormon. So, I picked up the book. I read it for months. As I read- I was seeking Jesus Christ- and what more He wanted me to know. I found Him as I read. I came to know of His plan for my life, His love, I came to know who I AM. I do know through prayer, asking my Father in Heaven, that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father that loves me... and I DO LOVE HIM! I am a Mormon because I know it is the Gospel of Jesus Christ restored to the earth. I know that by living the gospel I will get to live eternally with my Heavenly Father, my Savior and Redeemer even Jesus Christ, and my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus. I love to help people around me. There are so many wonderful people in this world, and if I can help anyone feel of Christ's love for them than that is a good day. I also try to rely on the Savior for peace and comfort. We live in a crazy world and it is hard to always live like Jesus would,or even be optimistic, but I do know that as we strive to do our best and pray for help we will receive the help we need. "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song..." 2 Nephi 22:2.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Nicole
The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is holy scripture. The Book of Mormon is a record of the people living in the ancient Americas. It begins with a prophet named Lehi. Lehi and his family lived in Jerusalem 600 B.C. The Lord tells Lehi to take his family and leave. Then, it continues on with their exodus to the America's. It tells of how the gospel was taught- and teaches of Christ. The crowning event in the Book of Mormon is when a resurrected Jesus Christ comes to the people in the Americas. It continues on until about 400 A.D. and teaches how the people lived the gospel. The Book of Mormon truly is another Testament of Christ!  Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Nicole
Family is so important because they are a gift from Heavenly Father to help us return home- to Him. I know that I am blessed with a family that helps me be my best. I also know that because my Heavenly Father loves me he has blessed me with a family that I can be with for all eternity. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Nicole
There is a prophet in the Book of Mormon named Alma and he spoke about faith. I do love the words he used to describe what faith is, "...faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." Alma 32 21 Faith is not a sure knowledge but a hope. I have faith that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that He loves me, and that one day I will get to be with Him and my Father in Heaven again.   Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Nicole
Faith in Jesus Christ is EVERYTHING! It is through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement that we can be forgiven, endure life's trails, and continue on in hope. Show more Show less
