Hi I'm Hugh

I'm the ping pong champion in my family. I'm a lawyer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of five kids - four girls with a boy sandwiched in between. I work as an attorney for a federal government agency and conduct investigations of potential securities law violations. My family and I love the Colorado outdoors and recently took up snow-shoeing to help us enjoy winter in Colorado as much as we enjoy the summer. A co-worker recently got me running and I'm joining several members of my extended family for a half marathon in May.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism meets my need for confidence, peace, direction, meaning, and hope. Life is full of surprises and many of them are not pleasant. As I experience these surprises, I feel encouragement from a loving God to keep trying, keep striving, and keep loving and an assurance that all will be well.

How I live my faith

My top three priorities are my spiritual and physical health, my wife, and my kids. My other key priorities are my job, my extended family, and the people around me, including my current assignment in the church to teach a class of nine 8-year old kids on Sundays about the life of Jesus Christ from the New Testament. This is a great assignment. We start every class by asking the kids whether they followed the example of Jesus during the week by doing something good. They always have something to share and many of their kind acts are very touching.
