Hi I'm Grant

I'm a Mormon & a cop I work mostly in a high school teaching law related classes, mentoring students and conducting investigation.

About Me

I'm a single father of twins (son/daughter). Love doing outdoor activities with them, mostly snowboarding now that they are grown and out of the house, but love hiking, camping and just hanging out with them. I'm an avoid runner and long distance bicyclist. I SCUBA dive and enjoy most outdoor activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I went through a divorce and was very confused about what I had done wrong. I ran into an old friend and we began talking about our lives. I knew she was a Mormon and began to ask about the church. I began reading and after about six months I received a call out of the blue (for me at least) from the missionaries. As I learned more about the church I realized my values and the churches were the same and I joined. As I met with the missionaries and since many marvelous things have happened to me and I am happier than I have been in a long time. Since joining the church my previous wife has been able to forgive me and we have become good friends. My callings in the church have giving me direction in my life and make me feel whole again.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church I help with the young men in the church. Many of these young men see me daily since I work in their schools. I do my best to show them through example how to be a good citizen, respectful and helpful to others. In the course of my chosen profession I deal with the public in general and often I am asked to participate in community events. Although I am not allowed to discuss my chosen religion, the values of the church do come through in how I deal with people and conduct myself. When I do things with friends and coworkers, they understand that I’m Mormon and will not do some things that are commonly done at these activities.
