Hi I'm Annette

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I just recently turned the big 5 0. I thought I'd never be this age, but now that I am it really isn't so bad. I have been married for 2 1/2 years to a wonderful man. I never had any children because of two tubal pregnancies when I was about 23. I always wanted children, but never felt it was the right time, or I wasn't living my life the way I would want to raise children. I married the first time when I was 16 & divorced 2 years later then married again at 28. That marriage only lasted 5 years. I met my 3rd (and final) husband while going through my 2nd divorce. We had a very tumultuous, on again off again, relationship for about 12 years. We finally married on our 14th anniversary from the day we met. About 2 1/2 years ago we were baptized into the church & our lives & relationship have dramatically changed since then.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born & raised LDS but fell away from the church during my first marriage. I was tempted by satan to drink, do drugs & be promiscuous. I lived a life full of sin for about 30 years. It seemed like I had a lot of pain & misery in my life & I felt like I was missing something. My mother passed away about 3 years ago & my, at the time, fiance talked me into taking her home as part of my inheritance. Well it just so happened the first night in our new home we had a knock on the door. I wondered who could that be. No one even knows we moved in yet. It was two young mormon missionaries. Much to my surprise my now husband let them in. They procceeded to tell my husband about the Joseph Smith story and how, at a young age, he so earnestly wanted to know which church was true. Well, my husband could really relate to this as when he was about eighteen he was hitchhiking one day & had been thinking to himself & asking God if he really existed. Was he really there? Pretty soon a man stopped & picked him up and shared the bible with him and he believed & wanted to learn more. We decided that we wanted to take the discussions & soon started to attend a ward at the church I actually grew up going to. Needless to say it has made a tremendous change for the best in our lives & especially in our relationship with eachother. I no longer feel as if something is missing. I am content and I know that by living the gospel & teachings of Jesus Christ & our Heavenly Father that I will always be blessed with a wealth beyond this earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily as I always try to keep Christ in everything I do. I love my calling as a cub scout leader & try to instill principles of our gospel in the lessons & activities I teach the boys. I love going to church & feeling the spirit there with my fellow members. I am also greatful for visiting teaching to get to know the other women & know that I am there to help them when they need it & that I have the support of so many women if I need them for anything.
