Hi I'm Logan

I might have Celiac Disease. I love math, biking and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in an environment that has given me a healthy appreciation for nature and exercising in it. My top outdoor activities are biking in the mountians and on the road, skiing, and backpacking-the most enjoyment comes from at least a three day trip where you can have a day to hike in, a day to be 5 miles from the nearest road, and a day to hike back. I also like math. I don't know why- it just makes me smile. I see beauty in math just like I see beauty in the details of nature. As of now, the plan is to make a career in studying math and become a math professor. I enjoy going to school and not owning a car-I can read and nap on the bus, have tons of fun riding my bike, and enjoy myself as I walk around town.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe God wants me to be. I have a growing testimony that God can speak to us through the Holy Ghost. And this Holy Ghost has pressed on me the truthfulness of Joseph Smith's First Vision, where he saw Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I strive to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ because this is how I develop love for myself and others. It's how I feel forgiveness for my sins. It's how I live my life so I can be guided by God's spirit in blessing my family, my friends, my self and others.  As I strive to live according to the light He's given, I'm filled with joy, being guided by the spirit, becoming a tool in God's hands for the blessing of God's children. I love my Father in Heaven and I love my Savior and they love me. They are concerned with the my concerns. They know my thoughts. They are aware of my questions and when I ask, they listen with a loving ear.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being prayerful and then working to follow the guidance I recieve in answer to my prayers. Following this guidance has sometimes been very difficult. It's required me to really put my faith that God will guide me to the test. When I do follow his guidance, I am filled with peace.  I live my faith by striving to develop the love that I believe my Savior has for me. This love is developed as I seek to serve others and keep God's commandments. I do this as a full time missionary, working to serve and talk to as many people as I can about the restored gospel so they can know of God's love.

In whom should we have faith?

Only faith in Jesus Christ can lead to forgiveness of sins. All things must fail. But charity never fails. Jesus Christ posseses Charity. He loves you perfectly. That combined with his perfect wisdom and all power means he will never let you down. He's the only one that perfectly wants what is best, perfectly knows what is best, and can perfectly do all things. Therefore, he is the one we should develop perfect trust in.  Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

One of my favorite things to see is when a family starts to read from the scriptures and pray together. It's in my favorites becuase when they do those things, I know that their faith will be increased and the spirit will bring more love and peace into their home. When a family reads together it helps the children develop an appreciation for the scriptures. It gives the parents an opportunity to teach and discuss the gospel with their children.
