Hi I'm Shelly

I read books, I drive motorcycles, I arrange flowers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of six kids, with four brothers, and one sister. I'm in school working for a degree in statistics, but I also love to work with flowers, designing arrangements. I guess I'm keeping my career options open. I have five roommates at my house, not including Beth and Blaize, my two pet rats. Six girls in one house might seem crazy, but we pull it off. Being outside is rejuvenating for me. It doesn't matter is I'm lying in a hammock, taking a hike, biking, or camping, I just love being outside in God's creations.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members before they even met each other, so naturally my family was raised Mormon. But I choose to be a Mormon everyday. The Gospel simply feels right, and everything in life continually tells me that Heavenly Father loves me, and that this is His church. It's been small moments of the spirit that testify to me that this is right, and the moments build on each other to create the faith and knowledge that I have.

How I live my faith

I have standards, and I follow the church's teachings in my life. I want people to know I'm Mormon because I live as one. I help the women in my ward by arranging activities, lessons, and service projects for us. I coordinate visiting teaching, which is where the member women visit each other to make sure their needs are being met, and to widen our circle of friends.
