Hi I'm Eric!

I'm a college student, a husband, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. You name it I have probably watched the sport or tried to play it. I love my wife! She is awesome. I like places with four seasons and mountains. I am a History major, not sure what I am going to do with it, but hopefully something fun. I have one son, who is the cutest little boy in the world, and my wife and I are expecting our second child, a little girl, within the next few months.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was actually raised in the Catholic church and went to a Catholic school for a few years growing up. A few years after my parents got divorced, my father, who was raised as a Mormon, started to go back to the Mormon church with what would become my step-mom. She joined the church, and one by one, over time, all of my brothers and sisters did as well. I was baptized at 10, and at that moment, it was the thing to do because Christ was baptized, and to my knowledge, I had yet been baptized. It wasn't until my Freshmen year in high school that I had gained a better understanding of everything. That year in seminary, a class where we study the scriptures either before, during or sometimes after school, depending on where you are at, we were studying the Book of Mormon. I figured I had never read it and so I would try to do so that year. I made a goal to read every night, at least a chapter, and more if I had time. I still remember the night when it all came together for me. I was in the middle of Alma and I had this sudden feeling of peace come over me and it all just made sense to me in my mind. It wasn't a life changing thing, I didn't change who I was and I still had the personal trials and struggles and even times of doubt, but that moment has always been there for me to hold me up as I have tried to gain a better understanding of the gospel. Also, I love the fact that we have a prophet and 12 apostles upon the earth today to teach us and testify of Christ and how he is our Savior and Redeemer. Those are just a few reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy helping people out. I try to look for ways to serve people everyday because I feel that that is what we are here on the earth to do, help each other out. I also try to learn and grow on my own, through personal prayer and scripture study so that way i can better understand my faith and help others come closer to Christ as they have questions about the Christ and my faith.
