Hi I'm James

I am a son, a brother, a future father/husband, a Florida kid and a Friend. I'm proud to be called a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in New York in a small town just south of Buffalo. I grew up loving to play soccer and football and still do. I have a passion for the outdoors and for being a fisherman, a boater, a beach bum, a mountain biker, a paintballer, a hunter and an off roading machine. Most people don't know, but I am an Artist and photographer. I like to focus on dry mediums such and pastels, charcoal, graphite and prisma pencils. Setting aside time to do what I love keeps me sane and keeps my soul content. The beauty god created is all around us, we just have to look for it. I hope to utilize my talent in my future career, whatever that ends up being. I am a brother that's inbetween two sisters, and have managed to survive. My family is very close and we enjoy doing things toegether. As I said I'm from south florida and would recommend it to anyone! it's beautiful and warm and theres so much to do. Though the church isn't as prominent as it is out west, the members carry their faith all the same. Their strong believers in the gospel and we know as any member does that living the truth will bring forth blessings.

Why I am a Mormon

Well my parents are both converts to the church and have been for a number of years, and because of the choices that they made I had the fortunant opportunity to be born into the Faith. That does leave much of my family not members and I love them all the same. I haven't had any super experiences to share on how I became a member but I know that it was through living the gospel as best I could that truly made the difference.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through optimism for the future. I enjoy the surrounding enviroment that the church offers. There are so many good groups to associate yourself with. Anything from scouting to youth groups, and young single adult programs, it's so helpful to have friends that share the same morals as you do. One of my most favorite parts of the church is that it's beliefs are firm and never changing. Where ever you go in the church it's all the same and the lessons are in sync world-wide each sunday. We best live our faith by following the example of Jesus Christ. When we choose a path other then heavenly Father's, then we choose is accept the consequences in which that choice brings. I honestly dont know how it all works but I do know that it will work out. It always has proven to do so.

In whom should we have faith?

In our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Because we share what know is true with all those around us. A large part of why I served a mission is to try my faith and by so doing build others. As we serve missions we become better, more loving, more trustworthy, more prepared people for life. I now know who I am and who I want to become. I love meeting new people and understanding how they live their faith. It's a way to put our trust in the Lord and watch him provide. Most important we are called by a prophet of God. As missionaries we are set apart to be deciples of Christ in all times in all places. We will be blessed for our service and grow in ways we would have never expected. I love my savior and I know that I am becoming what he wants me to be. Show more Show less
