Hi I'm Maria Egbert

I'm a Mormon. And I'm a rock climber.

About Me

Hi, I'm Maria! I am a wife and a mother of 4 sons. I love the outdoors and feel close to Heavenly Father as I view His beautiful world. I love to rock climb, hike, and swim at the beach. Life is great!

Why I am a Mormon

I know the teachings are true.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend a Deaf Branch. Because it is small in attendance, we have many opportunities to serve in various callings (or responsibilities). We also love learning American Sign Language. I am a youth leader for the young women and love to testify of the gospel truths.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Maria Egbert
A testimony is the confirmation which is received after we ask in humble and reflective prayer about the truths found through the teachings of the Church, mainly to know that Joseph Smith was the prophet who restored the fulness of the gospel on the earth today, that the Book of Mormon is true scripture, and that we should be baptized to follow in our Savior Jesus Christ's footsteps. This confirmation can be felt through the Holy Ghost and can be felt like a burning in the bosom and joy. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Maria Egbert
The Bible is the word of God as well as the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and revelations from the modern day prophet. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Maria Egbert
Learn about the teachings, then pray to know if it is true, and be baptized through immersion and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
