Hi I'm Dave

I love technology and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father. I have a wonderful wife, as well as two great kids who are growing up too fast. I love computers, electronic gadgets and almost any kind of technology – and have spent my career in technology marketing. I also love sports and the outdoors. I have played soccer since I was a kid, and still love playing with co-workers during lunchtime. And if I ever find some free time, I love to play the acoustic guitar or read a good novel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. But I am not Mormon just because of that. I choose to be a Mormon because it brings joy to my life. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. And I want to do as He has asked me. I have learned that true happiness comes only as I am obedient to His commandments.

How I live my faith

I have had the great blessing of serving a bishop lay minister and lead a congregation in my area. It has given me a great opportunity to work with wonderful, faith-filled people. As a bishop I was able to spend a lot of time with our youth, especially with our young men in their Scouting activities. I also have had the opportunity to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ on a regular basis in a variety of settings, whether to little children, youth or other adults. And as a bishop I have had a unique opportunity to help those who have wandered off the “strait and narrow path” as they desire to return to the fold. It is has been amazing and wonderful to see how the gospel of Jesus Christ truly changes lives as choices are made to live His commandments. I also love getting to associate with people from many walks of life and from many different religious backgrounds. I enjoy discussing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and other religious beliefs with others. I believe we can learn from everyone around us, no matter their background, beliefs, motivations, etc.
