Hi I'm Arturo

I'm a husband. I'm an engineer. I'm a stake clerk. I'm a Latter-Day Saint

About Me

I was born and raised in New Jersey. My mom is from Ecuador and my dad is from Dominican Republic. Got my BS & MS engineering degrees. I'm currently a device test engineer working for a major US wireless service provider. Got married to my college sweetheart in 2009. She is also a latter-day saint and from Peru. May God bless us one day with children of our own to form a beautiful family :-)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Christian belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was baptized and got converted when I was 21. I believe very much in the mission of Jesus Christ and all His teachings while on this earth. And the beliefs of the Latter-Day Saints continue His mission and teachings on earth today. I believe in the power of prayer to communicate with God in a sincere way. And if we maintain the Holy Spirit in our lives, He will respond to us in many ways (ex. reading scripture, dreams, righteous advice from family/peers, or a sense of inner peace). Having faith in our lives means having hope. The hope that if we live our lives repenting of our faults and striving to be a good person, then God will bless us with much happiness in this life and the next.

How I live my faith

I'm the stake clerk for the Scotch Plains Stake in northern New Jersey. Serving as the stake clerk gives me the opportunity to support local leaders in each ward or branch with any membership documentation problems or technical issues with Church computer tools.
