Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a wife, a stepmother, a graduate student and a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a preschool teacher and an International Studies Graduate Student. I'm married to my amazing husband, Ian, and I have a super-sweet stepson, Aidan.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I had many examples set before me of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I had also struggled to find a church that truly valued the teachings of Christ over forming mega-churches with goals of filling enormous auditorium seats. My husband had been a member, and although had not been attending for sometime, shared his knowledge of the gospel. We were able to invite the Missionaries to our home for lessons and join an amazing community. In a short time, we were both able to see the value and the applicability of the Church's teachings in our lives, and our testimonies of the Church were strengthened - so much so that I was baptised and my husband returned to Church. I was recently able to visit the Temple and we hope to soon be sealed together for all eternity. Knowing that families can be together forever is a blessing that gives us great peace of mind.

How I live my faith

I participte in my local ward as a Primary Teacher, spending my Sunday mornings sharing the Gospel with my students whom are 4, 5 and 6. Teaching my class about Jesus Christ also increases my knowledge of the his messages. I also visit teach my fellow sisters, and have enjoyed cultivating rich, compassionate relationships. I also serve as the Emergency Prepardness Specialist, helping families prepare for life's big and little emergencies!
