Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a college student, a basketball player and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a 23 years old and love to play sports, mainly basketball. I'm the oldest of 5 kids. I have the greatest wife on the earth. I like being outdoors and listening to good music, especially Puerto Rican music. I speak Spanish. I speak math nerd as well. I'm getting a degree in statistics.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I came to know that the Book of Mormon changes lives. It changed mine. I was challenged to read it and did. The first time I finished it I wasn't really searching. I felt the need to read more and did. When I really wanted to know.. and prayed God answered me. He did it in His time, but He knew exactly when I needed it. I'll never be the same. It helped me to stay away from temptation when I was growing up and now keeps me living His gospel everyday. I've come to feel of the peace that only God can give. When hard times come I turn to His word and He gives me peace that the world just can't give. John 1426 I've fallen in love with His word and I've found meaning in my life.

How I live my faith

I spend a lot of time searching the scriptures. I personally love the scriptures! I love looking for the answers that God has to give me in them. Reading scriptures is a vital part of my day. I don't miss a day reading some part of His word. I thirst for the light and peace that comes from those words. I also try and do at least one good deed a day. I believe that we are way to busy in this world and that if we never just stop and do something nice then we are missing the boat! Serving is a vital part of being a follower of Christ.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jordan
Missionaries proselyte, or talk to as many people as they can because we love the gospel and want to share it with everyone! I believe we are ALL children of our Heavenly Father and He wants us ALL to return to him. The only way that we can is through the gospel that Jesus taught. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Jordan
For me faith is power. It is action based on belief. I believe faith without works is dead, but in the same token works without faith is useless. I see it like a muscle. I have to exercise and use my faith. Otherwise it will just fade away and be overrun by doubt. True faith is based only in our Savior Jesus Christ. Faith in Him leads us to salvation. I also believe trusting in His promises is a big part of faith as well. If He says, "Ask and you shall receive." We better believe it. Without doubt. Show more Show less
