Hi I'm Chris

Im a diesel mechanic, Im currently on a mission, I plow snow in exchange for Hot Chocolate, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Elk Washington, a little town about 45 min north of Spokane. One of the key things that I learned from being the eldest of 5 siblings was hard work. Throughout my life I have strived to follow the example of my Dad, from how hard he works as a firefighter, to how much he inspires me spiritually. I have strived in everything that I do to uphold my family name. When I was in High School I realized my interest in fixing things, namely big trucks. I have found that through expanding the talents that God has given me that I can also be a blessing to others. I have lots of adopted grandparents, and in Elk WA we get a considerable amount of snow. I have tried to follow the example of my savior by helping plow out my neighbors and grandparents in exchange for hot chocolate. Through service I have found and made lifelong friends that I wouldn't trade the world for!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the great peace it brings to my soul. In these hard days, with so much calamity around us, its hard to have inner peace. I have found that through coming to know my savior more, through reading his scriptures (Bible, Book of Mormon, and Modern Prophets) I can feel the peace that he offers us. I know that our Savior lives, and that this is His church! I know that because the Holy Ghost has testified to me that these things are true. And I know that as I live and do the things that God would want me to do, that he will bless me in incredible ways.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving a full time mission to the Chruch in Phonex Arizona. I live my faith by following all of the commandments of my savior. And as I do that, I follow the perfect example that our savior set for us. Following the gospel of Jesus Christ isn't easy, it never was supposed to be. But as I live it, the blessings of the savior come into my life more abundantly.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Hardly. There are many people that I would help plow out snow for who were not of our faith. Jesus Christ didnt stop to ask the blind person if he was a member or not. Jesus Christ taught people what real love is, its to all of man kind, not just to those who are in our inner circle. Show more Show less
