Hi I'm Lothaire

I was raised in Mexico. I'm an eye surgeon and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Although born in the Arizona, I was raised in a small town in northern Mexico and returned to the USA when I was eighteen years old. I have been married to my wife for forty-three years. We are the parents of seven wonderful children who have each married kind and compatible spouses. We now have twenty-three amazing grandchildren and I love this phase of life. I am an ophthalmologist and perform eye surgery. I have spent many years practicing eye care and surgery and consider it a great privilge to be able to help others see better. I work with many other outstanding physicians and a great staff who offer wonderful care to our patients. I enjoy traveling and have had the privelige of visiting many places throughout the world teaching and performing eye surgery for those who are less priveliged.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the LDS church and have developed a great appreciation for the lifestyle that the church supports. In addition, I have a tremendous love and respect for the doctrine of the purpose of our lives and the fact that we can return to our Heavenly Father through the atonement of Jesus Christ. This great promise is a driving force in my life. I love the teachings of the church regarding the doctrine of families and of their eternal significance. I feel that the blessings of families are the crowning joys in this life and in the eternities. I love serving my fellow man and I feel that the example that our Savior, Jesus Christ, set for each of us should be a guiding light as to how we should live our lives. My belief has not come in a blinding light or through the whispering of a quiet voice but simply by living the gospel day in and day out. I find happiness in what I do by living the gospel and more importantly, I feel true eternal joy as I follow the commandments and adhere to the principles of righteousness taught there. I know that others lives will be blessed as they follow the same principles.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve others both professionally and in the church. My life revolves around our home, our children and family, my service in the church and my professional endeavours. I love the opportunites that I have had of being involved in my children's live through wholesome activities, through serving in Scouting and in participating in youth outings and service projects. I have had many opportunities to attend and conduct meetings and it has been a singular privelige to serve in many capacities in Priesthood leadership. I find that the greatest joy comes to me through serving others and I know of no better place to do this than through the gospel of Jesus Christ and in His church.
