Hi I'm Odell

I've lived all my life in North Carolina. I have a wonderful family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of six and a grandfather of five. I've worked with computers for most of my adult life and I love my job. I live in the country and love the fresh air and long walks.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Christian all my life but when I found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I was astonished! I had so may questions about God and His relationship to man. Before I joined the Church I had resigned myself that those questions could not be answered on this side of the veil. But when I started talking to the missionaries the gaps in my knowledge were filled in and I knew that this was the right church for me.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to teach in our congregation to many different age groups from primary aged children to our more senior members. Our classes are upbeat and uplifting as we teach each other the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Members of our church call each other brother or sister. This is fitting because we truly love each other and help each other out in struggles and rejoice in each others victories. I love especially working with the youth. They put so much energy and joy in living a Christ centered life. Not all is perfect but I know the good out weights the bad.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Read, ponder and pray. If you sincerely read the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Ponder what they say and ask God to reveal the truth of all things through the power of the Holy Ghost then you will receive your answer. Don't be discouraged it you don't get an answer right away. It will come in the Lords time frame. The Lord will answer you personally so that you will know the answer comes from God the Father. Pray in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Put away any preconceived notions of what you were told before. We have a loving God who wants His children to be happy. You will receive an answer. Show more Show less
