Hi I'm Marcus

I love sports, hunting, sturgeon fishing and pretty much anything outside, im all for it. And yes I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a born and raised Idaho guy. I have 3 siblings and of course have a wonderful mother and father. I have always been a big basketball guy and in the off season I enjoy a relaxing game of golf. I plan on continuing my basketball career at the college level in the future. I would have to say that I have not always been converted to the gospel. For many years I only went to church because that is what I was supposed to do, not that I wanted to but more on the side that my family went so I went with them. I came to a point in my life where I had to choose, is what I've been believing all these years really true. At the time many people continued to tell me that what I believed was wrong, false, and straight up a lie. So I was backed to the wall with no where to go and I only had one choice to make, find out the truth by asking my father in heaven if what I knew, was true. Soon after without a doubt in my mind I came to the knowledge that what I had been a part of was truly the Lords Gospel restablished on the earth today. Ever since I have sincerely become converted, I've had more happiness then ever before and really nothing can seem to bring me down. I know that the gospel has blessed my life so much and has given me many opportunities and I know many more still await me. No matter our situation or conditions we are in, with chirst we can overcome any trial that gets in our way. Love problems! Love Life! And love like there is no tomorrow!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because in the Gospel of Jesus Christ I know exactly why I am here on Earth and what I am supposed to be doing in my life. It also gives me the peace in mind that if my family and I follow Christ and keep the commandments of God, we all can live together forever for time and all eternity. It gives me great comfort with this knowledge that we gain from the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and continuing revelation today through modern-day prophets.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church and other church activities. I study the scriptures everyday and do all I can to continually increase my knowledge of the gospel of christ. For there is so much to learn that we will never be able to know it all. Thats what I love about Christ's church. There is never a point in life that we will stop progressing, unless we stop trying. There are so many blessings that God has given to us in order to help us be happy and find joy in a world where is seems at times that there is no hope. Christ provides the way to break free from this world of pain and anguish and rise to a greater sense of life. We must do all we can to help those around us so that we may all return to live with our Father in Heaven. For that is what we are here to do, to stand as witnesses of Christ at all times!

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Mormons no longer practice polygamy. At the beginning of the Church our Heavenly Father gave the commandment to only a select few to practice polygamy. But that is no longer needed and anyone who practices it now is going against the laws which God has established for us. We are to be married to one spouse and be fully dedicated to that person. Anything else is against what our Father in heaven wants us to do. Show more Show less
