Hi I'm Christopher Bauco

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and a Father of three children. I work in the financial services industry. I coach my daughter's soccer team and love watching my children play sports. My wife and I were married in 1994. I am originally from Connecticut.

Why I am a Mormon

I entered a period in my life where I was looking to become more effective in living. I was looking for something uplifting. I began to read Stephen Covey's seven habits book and I found it uplifting. Upon an invitation from a friend I attended a Young Single Adult Ward of the LDS Church, after exploring other churches. The first Sacrament Meeting I attended at the LDS Church the speaker talked about how some places of worship were built on hills where one would need to walk up to them symbolic of going up to God. I left that meeting feeling uplifted. I wanted to make the effort to walk up to God. I have been a member of the LDS Church since 1994. I proclaim that it is the best decision I have ever made. I know that my life would not have near the happiness and joy that I now experience if it were not for this one decision. The perspective it has given to me in life regarding what is truly important has helped me avoid many of the pitfalls I had struggled with in the past. I emphatically proclaim that if you are searching for something higher and better in this life seek out an opportunity to learn about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. The blessings are immeasurable.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith as Jesus taught. Jesus was a minister and had a ministry. I believe all followers of the Saviour Jesus Christ need to influence those that are placed in your life positively. I seek inspiration each day to know who the Lord would have me reach out to and bless through acts of kindness. This many times is a simple phone call to a friend. Trying to help my wife with the dishes. Looking for opportunities to discuss spiritual matters to my children. I do not believe the people in our lives are a coincidence. The Lord put them there for us to bless and uplift. We uplift ourselves when we give to others. It is a great circle that influences everyone for good. I believe that nothing on this earth feels better than to give service and to feel the Holy Ghost in our lives.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Christopher Bauco
We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ my listening to promptings that inspire us to do good. The Lord will stretch us as we exercise our faith by prompting us to extend ourselves in areas we would normally not do on our own. Reaching out to someone in need when it is uncomfortable. Sharing our testimony with someone who we are not sure if they will be receptive. I have come to understand these promptings and have gained more confidence in them. I have been less fearful to follow the Lord's direction. I have also begun to see the end result of my actions and have consistently seen the Lord's wisdom after exercising my faith. The Lord will make more out of us than we can by ourselves. Show more Show less
