Hi I'm Riley

I'm a car nut. I'm an aspiring engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything to do with cars, and someday in the future I plan on bulding them. Before that happens, though, I need to go to school and gain some experience, and that has been put on hold for now. Why? I am currently serving the Lord as a missionary in Upstate New York. I also love music, I play the alto and bari saxophones and the bass clarinet. My genre of choice in general is classic rock, but for playing my instruments jazz and classical do just fine. I'd like to learn the piano and guitar eventually. I love learning new things, whether it be about music, cars, the scriptures, or really anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into this church, which has blessed my life in every aspect I can think of. Why I'm still a Mormon, though, is because I know that my Father in Heaven lives and loves me; that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to fulfill His plan and save His children; and the Holy Ghost has borne witness of this to me, and that this is His church. This church has the fullness of truth and is led by Jesus Christ Himself. He directs it through His prophet, today that is Thomas S. Monson. The Holy Ghost has testified of these and many other things, and I can't deny that. This is where God wants me, and this is where I'll stay.

How I live my faith

As I stated before, I am serving as a missionary. So, in essence, my faith is my life right now. As I live the principles of the Gospel every day, I learn what they mean to me, why it is that way, and I am blessed. I get the privilege of teaching the restored truth of the Gospel to the people here, and I get to serve them in many other ways as well. This is a wonderful experience, and I know that my life will be forever blessed because of it.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

"...All things denote there is a God, yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator." Alma chapter 30 verse 44 My testimony echoes that of Alma, I see the hand of God in all things. Relationships between animals and plants, all of science, all of nature, even to men and what we have created has been inspired by our Creator.  Show more Show less
