Hi I'm Debbie M.

I am a pre-med student. A young wife. A soon to be mom. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am attending college and have plans to become a pediatrician. My husband and I got married in the Boston temple and it has forever changed my life. I love to blog, try new recipes, and am obsessed with cleaning. Truly am. I could eat chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I don't. We're also expecting our first little one and I am so excited to take on the task of motherhood!!

Why I am a Mormon

From my earliest memories I remember getting dressed in my Sunday's best and walking for miles to get to church in our home town of Brazil. My parent's expressed to my siblings and I how important it was to always pray, put the Lord in first place, and serve others. I loved primary and singing hymns and learning about the the gospel, but it wasn't until my older teenage years that I truly gained a testimony for MYSELF. I am a Mormon not because my parent's told me to be, but because I know how important this gospel is in my life and what a difference it makes on helping me become the person I want to be. I am a Mormon because I have so much peace in my heart when I attend church and do what is right. I am a Mormon because only through being a true Mormon could I feel the spirit and the love of my savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I Try to live my faith by sharing my testimony with others and attempting to be a good example. Although I am far from perfect I try to live my faith by strengthening my own testimony each Sunday and strengthening my spouse in his callings and being a united family. It's always so special when we read our scriptures and patriarchal blessings together. We have a baby on the way and I hope to be able to live my faith whole-heatedly and teach my future children to always serve others.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Debbie M.
I could have answered any of the most FAQ's but this one hits home with me the most. I love knowing that in our Heavenly father's plan of happiness, a man and a woman could be married to one another for time and eternity. That is so special, and so important in my heart! I have been married a little over a year and just knowing that I will have an eternal family with my best friend and future kids brings me so much joy. Knowing that the baby coming our way will be blessed by having an eternal family is the best gift I could give it. Knowing that the covenants we've made as a couple in the temple brings us the absolute assurance that the relationship we establish on earth will continue forever. There's no greater peace then knowing that families could be together forever! Show more Show less
