Hi I'm Garth

I am a husband and a father and I enjoy gardening, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I build dairy farms. I enjoy working in my yard. We have a few apple trees that we care for and make apple cider on our home made press. I love to go camping and do dutch oven cooking!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but the time came when I needed to know for myself that what I had been taught was true. I am grateful to know that my Heavenly Father lives and loves me. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins if we accept him as our Savior and repent of our wrong doings. God does hear and answer our prayers.

How I live my faith

Going to Church has been a great strength in raising our family. I visit with several families each month to make sure they are doing good and to share an inspirational message with them. I enjoy singing in the congregation and the choir. I now have the responsibility to speak in Sacrament meetings most every month, and though I struggle with this responsibility, I enjoy studying the scriptures and the teachings from the Prophets.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a history of God's children on the American continent from about 600 B.C. to 421 A.D. It is written by prophets called by God to teach and lead the people in their day. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, joining with the testimony contained in the Bible. As such, it is scripture, not replacing the Bible, but joining with the Bible to strengthen our testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. We can receive a witness of its truthfulness by approaching our Heavenly Father in prayer and he will manifest the truthfulness to you. Show more Show less
