Hi I'm Chase

Im a missionary in Cebu, Philippines, and im a mormon

About Me

Well im a missionary in the Philippines Cebu Mission, I love it here. I speak bisaya and meet new people everyday, Im a son a brother and a friend, i have an awesome family, Im the only member of Christ's church in my family, I grew up in California, I enjoy road trips, long nights discussing random stuff, planning fishing trips and just living life! I love having fun and dont ever live moments down.. Im a mormon

Why I am a Mormon

Well i guess i've always wondered about god and why were here, and stuff like that, I got to the point in my life where i was just lost and was so confused, I had some great friends who were members of the church, i never really asked them about their beliefs, everyday life seemed to get me more lost, i really needed god more than ever, i told a friend i wanted to learn about her church, The next week or so i met with the missionaries at her house and after that first lesson i felt gods love for me more than i had ever felt it, i felt like i was home, the next few days i called the church requesting to speak to missionaries, i kept calling back time after time within the same day, i continued to feel gods love for me, Though i lost friends, and hurt family relationships at the time i have never looked back, i know that this is the church of Jesus Christ and he loves us, We do have a father in heaven who loves us,

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living my life in harmony with the saviors life, I love others and invite them to feel the love of Jesus Christ for them, I live my faith by doing good and praying always for good to enter peoples lives, I follow the commandments of the living Prophet and just love Jesus Christ

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a personal attained "knowledge" of something, as members of the church of Jesus Christ we all have testimonies of what we believe, Its interesting seeing these "testimonies" form as a missionary, I've seen many people gain this knowledge for themselves as they pray to know, I myself gained a very powerful testimony at the time when i was receiving the missionary discussions from the local missionaries, They had left me alot of information which was warm and comforting but i still didnt know if it was right or true, as i sat down pondering what this was i decided to read a pamphlet they had left me, as soon as i began reading a warm feeling overcame me and i at that moment knew with all my heart that everything the missionaries told me was true, i knew that the lords church had been here during his time on earth and was restored by a prophet named Joseph Smith, i knew that Jesus Christ is the son of god and he loves me, i knew that their is a living prophet to guide us today as in times of old, I knew that when christ said "Knock and it shall be opened unto you" that he was inviting us to ask his father to know what is true. Now im out here for two years sharing what i know from a simple question, I know that what i believe is true and it continues to be nurtured by our heavenly father everyday Show more Show less
