Hi I'm Margaret

I'm a Mormom. I am from Miami and am a mental health therapist.

About Me

I am a lifetime learner: two Masters and currently working on a PhD. I am proud of these accomplishments and have worked hard for them. I value education. I have three children who are mostly grown and enjoy reading, biking, gardening, and 3-D movies and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

The spirit whispered to me that I needed to be baptized by full immersion and soon after, missionaries knocked on my door and my youngest daughter and I attended the LDS church for the first time and we were baptized together a month later on July, 9, 2009. It felt good and it felt right and we were filled with the spirit. Now that our eyes have been opened to the truth, we know too much to ever be able live without the love and support of the Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am dedicated to my callings and am honored that I have been entrusted to have been set apart by our leaders to have been chosen for them. I lean on my hometeachers for support and guidance and the sisters of the relief society are an inspiration to me as well. I was a teacher for the young women, Ward Representative for the Singles in our church and now a Teacher for the adult women.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Margaret
They need to be worthy in order to do so by living according to the covenants they made to God at their baptisms. It is not secret, but sacred. Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Margaret

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Margaret
Proof from their own personal experience that this church is true and that Jesus Christ is our Savior. It takes time to build a testimony and is strengthened by service and reading the scriptures and living according to the church's standards and covenants. Show more Show less
