Hi I'm Marion

Life is beautiful. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a new wife and recent college grad. I am an x-ray tech and radiation therapist. I love getting to know people and making people smile. My husband and I love eating, trying new activities and being active.

Why I am a Mormon

I love knowing the why, how and who of this life. I am a goal oriented person and I like to know the reasoning behind something before doing it. Because of the gospel, I know who I am, why I am here and where I am going. I can't imagine loving life without knowing these basic truths. Not only does the gospel make sense to me, I have received a personal witness of its truth and knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that HE LIVES! I have so many tools and resources given to me to understand Heavenly Father's will and answers to my many questions. The gospel makes me incredibly happy. I believe President Monson's expression that "your future is as bright as your faith." I can feel my Savior's love for me and I can recognize His hand in all things.

How I live my faith

I try to live the way Jesus Christ would have me live. I realize that I have faults, short comings and am human but more importantly, I realize that we have a way to grow close to our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We have been given a plan of happiness and have the ability to pattern our lives after Jesus Christ. Recently, my husband and I watched over and taught the young children in our ward during church. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn from the children and feel of their purity and goodness. Currently, I serve the women of our ward and absolutely love it. Women have divine roles in eternity and possess qualities that differ from men. As women, we can help each other strengthen our testimonies of Jesus Christ, increase the strength of our families and provide service for all those around us.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Marion
We learn through the plan of happiness that families can be together forever. A man and woman can be married for time and all eternity in the temple. Children born into a marriage such as this are tied to their family forever. If they are true to their covenants, nothing can separate their relationship, not even death. I can be with my husband forever! This knowledge gives my life great meaning and joy. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Marion
Temples are not secret, but sacred. All are invited to come to the temple however, there are certain standards of living that must be met before such sacred information can be shared. With proper preparation, the temple becomes a significant and meaningful place in life where we can learn about ourselves and our place in eternity. We invite all to our temples. Visitors are always welcome to the temple grounds and to attend open houses before a temple is dedicated. There are also visitor centers at temples that welcome all. Show more Show less
