Hi I'm Ralph

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised around Mansfield, Ohio. I had joined the Army and gone to do my duty in Vietnam. I spent 14 years in the Army as a Military Police. I had the opportunity to travel around the world. During these travels I had the opportunity to make new friends. I left the Army while assigned in California. I stayed in California and worked with the local Sheriff's Office. After 20 years, I retired and moved to the Meridian, Idaho area for one year. I then took 3 years and traveled around the United States. When I felt I had traveled enough I came back home to Ohio. I have taken many computer classes mostly in programming. I enjoy playing adventure games and doing online research. I have two grown boys and two grandchildren with another due around March 3, 2011. I am married to the new love of my life. I have always said she is my soul mate. I have never felt closer to any lady thru out my life as I do with my Pam. She is the one I will be with for enturnity. After taking the discussions with the elders in Idaho and in Ohio I was finally baptized May 2009. I am what am referred to as a recent convert.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed in a higher power and that I always had a guardian angel watching over me. While in Vietnam, during my time as a Military Policeman, and with the Sheriff’s Office. I found out that the Mormon Church was a Church that I could believe in. I have always thought we must help those around us first. You can not tackle a job larger than you can handle. The Ward Bishop has the power to help those within his ward and that is where it should start. As conditions improve then you expand your help to outer areas till the whole earth is safe and well taken care of. I saw the faith and desire in the many Elders that I had contact with and saw their belief in the Lord. I was never that sure of my faith or my belief. Till one day I listened to 17 Points of the True Church by Floyd Westum. It was on this night that I realized that the Mormon Church was the True Church of Christ. If you still are not absolutely sure yourself you need to get this points and research them for yourself.

How I live my faith

I had gone to my Bishop one day and asked how I make the right decision when I am torn between two very good choices but that they are in opposite contrast to each other. He simply replied, what would Jesus do if he was here today? I had the calling to help people find new jobs. I was asked to help someone who was not a member of the Church. I asked the Bishop again for guidance. He said the Ward has set boundaries which define the limits of our Ward. Even if they are not members of our Church they are still God’s children and I am required to help all of God’s children so yes help them. So I try to live my life as what would Jesus do and yes we are all God’s children.
