Hi I'm Rick

I'm lds. I am an artist.

About Me

Creation has always been a great interest of mine. Music, art, dance, storytelling; you name it, I am intrigued. I feel that studying others art was a great tool for my earlier development. I have received composition, perspective, and painting class completion degrees from Artist (extraordinaire) Libby Berry, who understands in great detail Leonardo Da Vince’s composition, color pallet, and many fundamentals of good beautiful art. Some artists I sure enjoy and am inspired by are Frank Frazzetta, Joe Maduria, Leonardo Da Vince, Chuck Close, MC Eshcer, Chuck Jones, Don Bleuth, Boris Valelio, and I am a big Star Wars fan. I started in a print shop on a mac II in the later 80′s & have used either mac or IBM ever since. I understand & can learn with no great deal of difficulty most graphic computer software. I have extensive Silkscreen experience and have followed the trends in t-shirt design since the late 80′s Excellent art is not about its creator, but what is best for that piece. Looking at art is like looking at a plant. Gardeners facilitating plants to grow is a metaphor for my process. Great art is a gift, literally.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel the spirit when involved with LDS lifestyle.

How I live my faith

Humbly, one day at a time. I give thanks to God that I have air to breath and life to live. I strive to align my will to that of our Heavenly Father. Unselfishness and love increases my faith. Feeling the hope that faith in our Savior brings carries me through the day.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I believe we have a living prophet that receives modern day revelation pertinent to our salvation. We can also have personal revelation given to us, including finding out for ourselves if what the prophet directs us to do is for our own happiness. Show more Show less
