Hi I'm McKenna

I can't get over the beauty of nature, I have an adopted family in Mexico, I love singing, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated going to school at a small university with a double major in strategic communication and Spanish. After I graduated I moved to Mexico for several months to have an immersion experience and help my Spanish. I was able to stay at a Catholic orphanage. The experience I had there was priceless. I love those people with all my heart and though I was "helping them," that experience helped ME the most. I grew personally and my soul was healed from pains in my past. I enjoy all things outdoors, including sports. I love to read, bead, and create. Music has been a balm to my soul my entire life, I love singing, whether or not there is music.

Why I am a Mormon

I love The Lord. Throughout my life, I have tried to live by certain principles, principles of true happiness. As I have striven to be honest, true, chaste, benevolent and virtuous, I have been able to have great joy. Though I was still faced with many trials in my life, I found I was able to endure them with a positive outlook. I know that I am a child of God, and that he loves me and wants me to return home to him. I know that our older brother, Jesus Christ, suffered in the garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross, in order to help us become the best we can be. He wants us to overcome our sins and our weaknesses, and to have a fullness of joy in this life, and the life to come. Through his sacrifice, we are able to progress and return home to our Father in heaven. Families are able to be sealed to each other for ever! When I marry I will be with my husband for eternity, not just "until death do we part!" The Lord has given us his spirit to be with us, to guide us in our actions, comfort us in times of trial, and warn us in times of danger. I have felt it. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth and it is a gospel of joy! That is why I am a part of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because I want to be with my family forever, and I want to please my Heavenly Father. It is said by their fruits ye shall know them, the gospel of Jesus Christ brings true joy, and I love to love life!

How I live my faith

I go to church weekly and try to actively participate. During the week I try to study scriptures on my own to help my relationship with The Lord grow. I try to be Christlike in all that I do, though I admit sometimes it is very difficult or I lose focus.
