Hi I'm Kim

I'm a stay at home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love Spongebob Squarepants. Yes, it is childish for my age but I don't worry about that. You're only as young as you feel. I'm currently a stay at home mom of a beautiful baby girl. She is the love of my life. I mostly enjoy reading, music, and taking pictures.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager and my parents divorced and we had settled down in our new hom my mom told me that we were going to have compony that night and to make sure the house was really clean. Once the house was cleaned and we had all cleaned up ourselves from all the hard work there was a knock on the door. When my mom opened the door there were two young men about 21 or so smiling into our home. I was a little scared at first becuase I had no idea what my mom was up to. She was always doing something to make our lives a little better. We introduced ourselves and they did the same. Once we sat down and began talking about our beliefs in God. We all answered that we believed and knew that there was a plan for us we just didn't know what it was. We continued talking about the gospel and we were given a Book of Mormon. A few days later the missionaries knocked on the door again to check up on us, my brother had moved out, and my sister wasn't home so I stood at the door and talked with them. I got to know them a little bit more and learned a lot about them. I asked how they had become members of the church. One was a convert and the other born into the church. A few weeks went by and we continued to have lessons and I was getting really into it. Finally I went to church and met a few people, everyone was really nice and considerate to me being nervous about going someplace I didn't know much about. I began to hang out with some of the other teenagers and we would have so much fun together. Being a small branch everyone knew everyone. When i was 16 I was baptised a member of the church. I was never so happy in my life.

How I live my faith

Now I'm a returning member to my branch from taking a couple years off from everything due to health, educational, and personal family problems. During that time I met my fiance. We attend church every week (every other week for him due to his work schedule), and particiapte in activities. Because I haven't been back into the church for very long I have yet to bear my testimony in front of the other memebers, and I am currently waiting on my fiance to become baptised. When asked of the church I give a pass along card and tell a little of my story and hope to see them at church one day. I prey every night that someone who I talk to about the church will call the missionaries and choose to learn more. I hope to one day get a call from the misisonaries and have them tell me that an investigator contacted them and it was all because of my strong belief in such a wonderful thing.
