Hi I'm Paula

I am married with 3 beautiful daughters. I enjoy all sorts of creative endeavours. I love teaching. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy sewing, quilting, jewelry making and lots of creative things. I get bored quickly so I am ever evolving...or maybe I am just ADD. I love hanging out with my family. I went to college when I was young but got married and didn't finish my degree. Now I hope to be able to go back and continue my education. I homeschooled all 3 of my children for a total of 16 years. My youngest is now in high school. My middle daughter is serving a mission in las Vegas. My oldest is working hard trying to find her bliss. My husband works hard for our family and loves anything that has to do with water. That is why we will probably never leave Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS. As a child I never questioned that. As a teenager, in early morning seminary, I was encouraged to discover for myself what I believed. I did a lot of praying and studying the scriptures trying to decide if I believed what I had been taught. One morning as I was praying the thought came into my mind, "Why are you sitting here studying and praying at 6AM?" I realized that it was because I knew and had always known that the gospel is true. I know that is not a miraculous vision or a booming voice from heaven. It was just the little nudge that I needed to get me going. That is how it has always been for me. I serve where I am asked to and I try to obey the Lord because I believe the gospel is true and I believe He loves me and I love Him. I know that when we forget ourselves and serve others and obey the teachings of the Savior, we are happier. My testimony involves a lot of things. Lately I have been thinking a lot about the importance of developing a personal relationship with the Savior. It is the only way to ensure our spiritual well being. I Love the scriptures. They not only teach us about the Savior and His gospel but they have a power in them and when we study them daily, they bring light and comfort and joy and purpose into our lives. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon and for the great blessing of being able to study it along with the Bible and for modern revelation and for prayer. I can't imagine how hard life would be without these things.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a primary president in my church congregation. In the past I have taught the youth in Sunday School, primary, Young Women's group and in early morning seminary. I have also taught adult relief society and Sunday school classes. I also live my faith daily by the choices I make to follow the Savior as best I can and look for opportunities to show His love to others. I am fairly shy by nature so its not always easy for me but I keep working on being more loving and looking for ways to help others.
