Hi I'm Clayton

I'm a sports enthusiast, a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 21 and I LOVE sports. I am going to college when I finish my 2 year mission. I'm planning on majoring in business management with a hope of starting a succesful business. I love playing sports but I also have a nerdy side and love playing card games and board games!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have gained a divine witness from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph smith is and was a prophet of God. I have prayed and asked God himself if this church is true and I know it is. I know that the principles taught in the Gospel of Christ are true and have helped me grow spiritually, emotionally, and even physically. The reason why I am STILL a Mormon is that I have felt the forgiving power that Christ has to offer and I can honestly say that the most happiness I have received in this life has come as I have repented of the things I have done and turned toward Christ and my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing with others the knowledge of the gospel. I also enjoy serving other people, doing my best to build family relationships, and being the best friend I can be. I strive to do what is best for those around me and not think of myself.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

I truly believe that the only way to know God is to try God. I have come to know him as i have put His promises to the test, fasted, prayed, and kept His commandments. I believe in prayer and I have had many prayers answered. Show more Show less

Why did your church previously practice plural marriage (polygamy)?

If you believe you are part of Christ's original church, than yours did too. The tribes of Israel came from a polygamous family because the Lord commanded it to raise up seed unto Him. This law, just other laws have been, were restored to the prophet Joseph Smith and was practiced at a time that God saw a need for it. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

We don't partake of these substances because of a lot of different reasons but the number one reason is because we have faith that God has spoken to us through a prophet and declared these substances as not good for the consumption of man. There are also many obvious health benefits to not taking these substances and for me i really feel like my mind is much more clear and coherent when I live this law. Show more Show less
