Hi I'm Kurt

Born in California, raised in Idaho. Life gets tough but I absolutely Love it. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 22. I find that sometimes it's hard for me to be real serious because I simply Love to laugh and joke around a lot. While I enjoy taking life lightly.. I take God's will seriously. I am the middle child of 5 kids in my family. My Father works hard as a long haul truck driver so that my Mom does not have to work.. instead she can spend quality time at home raising a happy family. Although my Dad works hard on the road.. he works twice as hard at being a great Dad. I have had many goals in life. Such as the hope to accomplish a backflip on a snowboard. To learn to play both the guitar and piano. To be married and strive to be a good husband and father. I have been able to find the girl of my dreams and marry her. Our life together is bliss. It is hard at times of course. Sometimes we may not agree or sometimes the stress of finances gets in the way but we sure love each other and we get through it with Faith. I know of God's plan for us and it brings me peace and joy. Life isn't always easy.. but it sure is great with the blessings of the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has brought me true joy. I was raised within the church and my life is simply amazing. I have had my times of doubt where I had to study, ponder, and pray. I now know for myself that the gospel of Jesus Christ has indeed been restored to the Earth through prophets yet again. I know Christ is my Savior. I know God's plan. I am extremely Happy. That's Why.

How I live my faith

Throughout life's situations, I like to ask myself, "What would Christ do?". I feel that we all truly know deep down what is "right". I try to be sure to do just that. One thing that definately brings me great joy is making others happy. I love to make people laugh and smile. More importantly however, I love to help others understand and apply Gospel Principles. I support the fact that God lives and loves us and that He continues to reach out to us through continual revelation all the time. We can gain personal revelation. I seek to receive answers from God daily. I know God still calls prophets, and I strive to gain a testimony of their counsel and then follow it.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Families are amazing. Usually if you ask anyone what it is that brings them the most joy in life.. it is their family. I Love my family. I hope to be a Dad someday and I will Love my wife and adore my children. At death, we are seperated from those we Love. Through the power of God (the priesthood), and in His holy Temple, we can be "sealed" or "bound" to our family so that death is not the end of that wonderful relationship. Families can be forever. What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will talk about Christ. They will talk about prophets. They will talk about scripture. They will talk about God's plan for us which teaches where we came from, why we are here, and where we go when we die. They will tell you that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored. Mormon Missionaries simply share. They answer questions and act as guides. They don't force anyone to do things and they don't try to convince anyone that what we teach is true. I have served as a missionary and we simply invite others to hear our unique message and then decide for themselves. We encourage them to ask God through prayer. That's how I believe everyone should find their answers. The best way, is to study, ponder, and ask (pray, He listens and answers). Show more Show less
