Hi I'm Alan

I love the outdoors, I love music, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an outdoor enthusiast. I love all sorts of outdoor activities, such as driving my jeep or mountain bike, or just hiking up or down all sorts of trails. I love the trails around Moab! I am an auto mechanic. I also love playing the drums and i really love music. I'm also a type 1 diabetic and have had diabetes since I was 10.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it is true through study and prayer and experience over the years. There was a time I was not living the way i do now and disregarded god's commandments. I know that it did not bring me true joy to live the way i did. I know now that God knows better than me what I need to do in life to really be happy. The gospel provides a road map, but that does not mean I can't be who I want to be and have lots of fun doing things that God approves of. God knows better than I what, where and who I should be!

How I live my faith

I love and serve those around me. Right now I'm a student at Weber State University and as I go about my day, I keep my eyes open for an opportunity to serve someone. sometimes the best way to serve others is just to be kind and loving towards them. Even if you don't say anything to them, a smile or a wave could make someone's day!

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

The beauty of the world around me. The world is much too wonderful to have appeared by chance. Also all the joys I feel every day. I know there is a God, and although I don't completely understand everything, I know that he loves us and watches over us and knows us personally. Show more Show less
