Hi I'm Will

I am an outdoorsman and mountain biker. I love spending time with family and friends, and learning, and I am a mormon!

About Me

I am the third of four children and the middle of three boys in the family. I love my parents and brothers and sister, as well as the extended family and friends. I am single and have a busy life, but I spend my free time doing things I like. There are many thing that I like to do in my life. I love mountain biking, being outdoors, and being in nature. I have spent quite a bit of my life outdoors. Being in scouting and acheiving an Eagle Scout rank requires the need for a lot of time outside. I also love though indoor time relaxing, reading, and play video games and spending time with family and friends. Thought I don't have a licence to fly right now that is one thing that I love as well. Growing up though in a home were both your parents are in the United States Air Force rubs off on you, and that is what I attribute to my great love of planes is always being around them. I plan in my life to do something in the aviation industry, perferably flying, but we will see where the Lord takes me in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or Mormon because, I have found and know it to be true. I was not always like this though. Growing up in the church, where both my parents were members of the church, I relied on them for my knowledge that the church was true. I was not until later in life when I was starting to fall away from my family and the church that I started to wonder if it was all true. I questioned many times what I believed, how I knew it was true, and where the information came from letting me know it was true. It even came to the point in my life that I wondered if God was even there or loved me. Growing up in the church though I know certain things that allowed me to find out that truth, one being, that I would have to put effort into finding and look for myself. So I did. I began by reading The Book of Mormon Another Testiment of Jesus Christ. This book led me to ask God, my Father in Heaven, if this was true, if He was there, and this was the path that I was to take in life. I contiued to study, read, and look into what I believed, and it was not until a very ruff day in life, when a large decision rested on my shoulders. I again though about those question that I asked over and over, and then it came clear as day to my soul. The answer. Enlightening my mind and bringing comfort and peace to my heart. From that true search I had in my life and turning to my Father in Heaven I came to a knowledge that this gospel is true. This is why I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I participate in living my faith now by helping those around me and bringing joy and happiness to there lives. I have previously worked with youth helping them plan and carry out activities in scouting. I visit people at there homes and help them to grow closer to Jesus Christ and help them in any way I can. Some times that help includes yard work, or it could be a simple as taking time to talk to them. I also do thing as a Christian myself that many other Christians in the world do. I keep the commandments, read my scriptures, pray to my Father in Heaven, and spend time with my family. I go to church every Sunday, and learn of our Savior Jesus Christ and His divine role in our lives. When it really comes down to it I try to live as the Savior lived and do the things He would have me do.

What is being a Mormon like?

Well being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is great. As a member of the church we live normal lives just like most people in the world. We have jobs, pay bills, and the like, we just have different values then most of the world, which sometimes is why we are weird. Thats ok though we are a peculiar people. We don't follow the ways of the world, but the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ. We stay away from much of the world views and sees as exceptable like smoking, alcohol, foul laungage, and we try to spend more time and energy on those things that truely matter in life like our families and doing what our Heavenly Father would have us do. So in all we are normal average members of society that live out our lives the best we can while following our Savior. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Nope. We as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint do not worship Joseph Smith. I always find it funny though when people ask though. I think this is one of the big misunderstandings between the members of the church and those not of our faith. We hold Joseph Smith in high regard for the things that he did in his life to serve the Lord and bring about the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth again after having been lost after the death of the apostles of Jesus Christ. In doing this Joseph helped to bring about the blessing of millions of children of our Heavenly Father. He was only able to do all that he did through the power and authority of our Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
