Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a Mormon. And I love it.

About Me

I am the youngest girl of a mixed family. I have two older sisters, three older step-sisters, an older step-brother and a younger step-brother. I have the most wonderful parents who I love dearly and hoards of cousins and aunts and uncles that I am so grateful for. Not to mention my siblings-in-law and my darling nephews and niece. When describing myself I always begin with my family because they are what is most important to me. I grew up in Utah and I now live in Southern California with my mom and sister. I am a full-time student studying Health Sciences. I am fascinated by the miracles of science and the perfect design of the ultimate designer, our Heavenly Father. I love reading, crocheting, camping, movies and I am learning to love running, ugh. I live for music. I have found that each moment of life can best be captured or described in a song. I know that music can touch the furthest reaches of the soul and can move us in unexpected ways. I am grateful for the God-given talents of others that bring music to my life. I most enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love the chance I have to learn and laugh and grow with them. I believe that the love of a family, who often include close friends, is one of God's greatest blessings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because living my faith has helped me draw closer to God. I am Mormon because I have come to understand so much about my relationship with Him as my loving Heavenly Father through modern-day revelation and additional scripture. I am Mormon because my family is important to me and I want to be with them forever and I know I can be. I am Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I want to always strive to be like Him and follow His teachings. I am Mormon because I know God does not change, He has always revealed His mysteries through Prophets and I know He continues to do so through the Prophet Thomas S. Monson. Most importantly, I am Mormon because of the many witnesses I have received, through the power of the Holy Ghost, that this is Christ's true church restored on the earth. I know that He is the center and the leader of this church. I know He and the Father appeared to the young boy Joseph Smith and, through him, restored the fullness of the gospel. I know the Book of Mormon was brought about by the power of God and is truly His word and another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us, so much that He gave His Son, that through Christ we might return and live with Him. I know He will always continue to guide us on the right paths to lead us home, if we will only listen. I am Mormon because I know that all this is true and nothing else matters.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission for the church in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a missionary I get the privilege of sharing the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ and doing that every day for a year and a half. I spend all my time trying to come closer to my Savior and helping others to do the same. Each day I try my hardest to love others, serve them, and share my faith. I am learning more and more that this service is more than an 18 month commitment, it is a way of life. I live my faith by faithfully following Christ.
