Hi I'm Riley

I'm a college student, a missionary. I'm a friend, a helper. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Science to poetry, rock climbing to piano, soccer to hanging out, talking to listening, there's a ton of things I do. I love getting to know people and I love trying to help others understand who I am, and really why I am the way I am. For the most part I'm happy and I love trying to help others be happy as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I've seen miracles in my life because of this gospel. I have had the blessings of a happy family growing up and a great community that helped. I have seen the results of this church and all I've seen is good. I think that anyone who, like me, was born into the church, has had to, or will go through their own conversion process. I have gone through mine and I know it'll be challenged along the way, but anyone who truly believes in Christ will have a test or two come their way. Because of that I can say that I'm Mormon because I want to be mormon, not because my parents are, or anyone else has "made me" be mormon. I was given my own chance to see what I truly want, and this is where I find happiness.

How I live my faith

I smile more than anything. This church has brought me joy, and I want to bring that same joy to everyone else, mormon or not.

What is being a Mormon like?

It's a lifestyle really. Many people know that we don't drink or smoke. We pray and read from the scriptures everyday, we go to church every Sunday, we have activities throughout the week, we are really busy people as I'm sure many mormon neighbors have appeared. But in the end it is a happy life. We have our faith centered on Jesus Christ and we do our best to follow him. We have strength in our knowledge of His great Atoning sacrifice. We have a assurance that many people look for. Being a member of the Mormon church is really being in the calm eye of the storm. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes we do. Actually, I think most people would be very amazed at the knowledge we have about the Bible. Personally, my favorite story of all scripture comes from the gospel of Matthew, as Christ walks upon the water. Show more Show less
